Back to the classics (and other stories)
A few columns and essays for you this Monday.
From The European Conservative, an essay on my favorite book growing up: “The Swiss Family Robinson: A Return to the Classics.”
Speaking of literature, I recently visited a few of the Laura Ingalls Wilder sites on a road trip with my family: “On the road with Laura Ingalls Wilder.”
At The Bridgehead, I covered a truly stupid move by the Ukrainian government (for which I interviewed a couple of Ukrainians on the ground): “Transgender American journalist appointed spokesperson for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”
The progressive press is once again attempting to claim that merely being Christian—and in favor of parental rights—somehow makes someone an extremist: “According to the media, being Christian makes you ‘far-right’–or ‘alt-right.’”
A short observation from the trial of the U.K.’s notorious nurse-serial killer: “One of baby killer Lucy Letby’s victims could have been legally aborted.” Abortion advocates shouldn’t turn off the TV—they should turn it up. They helped write this script.

Finally, as always, I’ve got plenty of other short, regular culture updates on The Bridgehead, and you can get a copy of Prairie Lion: The Life and Times of Ted Byfield here and here, and my other books here.
