Greetings everyone,
I’d like to share an investigative report that I’ve been working on with an investigator, my friend Steffan Moens, for several months. Some of you may have heard of Andrew Tate, who is currently one of the most popular online “masculinity” influencers in the world. If you’re aware of online youth culture, you’ll have heard of him—if you haven’t, you should know a few things about him. Why? Because millions of young men follow him and hang on to his every word. I give presentations on the dangers of pornography in high schools (I’ve spoken to close to 3,000 students so far this year), and I get asked about Andrew Tate by high school boys regularly. Most of the time, the teachers and parents have never heard of him—but their sons, if they have access to the Internet, certainly have.
Tate is not just another “lifestyle influencer” giving advice on fitness and getting rich. He is a pornographer and casino owner who teaches a profoundly ugly, anti-Christian, and overtly wicked worldview. Since his arrest—with his brother Tristan—on charges of sexual assault and human trafficking in Romania earlier this year, he claims to be a traditional Muslim who holds views everyone held just a few years ago. This is an incredibly well-crafted PR campaign designed to reform his image and gain the sympathy of right-leaning people. He has been assisted in this by high-profile commentators such as Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, who have allowed him to lie about the charges he faces, his actual views as expressed in dozens of hours of video, and his sordid history.
For a brief overview of Tate and his influence, check out my column in First Things earlier this year: Andrew Tate, Symptom of the Sexual Revolution
Our investigative report, “Inside Andrew Tate’s War Room,” was published in The European Conservative. I am not going to include the full text of it here as I usually do, as it contains a lot of particularly disturbing details about Tate’s grooming tactics, which we gleaned from private chat logs from his online “War Room” community. We were given access to these files by a source who wished to remain anonymous, but their authenticity has been conclusively verified. Interestingly, shortly after the report was released by TEC, Andrew Tate blocked me on Twitter. He’s clearly read the report, and is not pleased that the actions he has so frequently denied are being publicized.
We hope that this investigation will be helpful in showing people that the private Andrew Tate and the public Andrew Tate are very different people, and that he is a poisonous influence for young men—despite what many prominent conservative commentators claim. The whole report can be read here. Please do share it with anyone who believes Tate’s deceits or that his influence is benign.
This is appalling. It reinforces my view of Owen’s but Carlson? I did wonder when I listened to his speech after he was sacked from Fox.
I hope and pray this man is jailed for the rest of his life. Discernment and a moral and spiritual compass is a sorely lacking quality in many conservatives and libertarian commentators. My estimation of the DW has diminished over time.
Thank you for this article. I wasn't sure how to feel about Andrew Tate, because while I had heard bad things about him from some, the left-wing media loves to paint everybody on the right as evil and much of his recent interviews made him seem like quite a decent and sincere role-model for people.
I actually was kinda growing to respect him, so thank you for enlightening me as to his wicked nature!
