Hello all,
Thanks to those who ordered a copy of Prairie Lion: The Life and Times of Ted Byfield—available here on Amazon—it is selling well and reviews are coming in! There’s one review at the Western Standard; another at Reformed Perspective; more coming soon as review copies just went out.
Meanwhile, here’s a few other columns that have come out since.
At The European Conservative, I have an essay titled “The Queering of J.R.R. Tolkien,” on the LGBT movement’s attempts to appropriate one of the 20th century’s greatest writers.
At First Things, I have a column on “The Girls Who Resisted Boko Haram,” about the three-year ordeal of the kidnapped schoolgirls. An excerpt:
In secret, the girls shared Bible passages and prayed fervently together for strength and rescue. They sang hymns into their hands and cups of water to stifle the sound. A favorite gospel song sustained them:
It is a must for trials to come
But if we stand firm to the end
We will receive the crown
And be like the angels
Over at Utopian Idiots—for those of you who like literature—I have a short piece on A.A. Milne and the true story behind his classic works The House At Pooh Corner etc.
On the podcast, I have a fantastic interview with Harry Miller, the Liverpool docker who was interrogated by police for tweets criticizing the transgender lobby. They’ve turned him into an activist bent on taking down the movement—and I wouldn’t count him out. He also happens to be hilarious. Give it a listen.
There’s been a lot of developments since Roe v. Wade fell on the pro-life and parental rights fronts, and I’ve been doing my best to keep The Bridgehead updated with the stories as they break so as always, if you’re interested, you can check them out there.
Thanks, as always, for reading!
