Hello all,
A few columns and a podcast for you today.
At The European Conservative, I have an interview with Vanessa Sivadge, a nurse who was recently fired from her job at Texas Children’s Hospitals for revealing that transgender “transitions” are still being performed there. Like other whistleblowers, including another doctor who worked at the same hospital, she got a visit from the FBI and now faces a brutal court battle for telling the truth:
At First Things, I have a column on Donald Trump’s continued betrayal of the pro-life movement—and why it is so essential for pro-life leaders to speak up before the election. Trump came out and stated he would be voting for Florida’s Amendment 4, which would legalize abortion up until birth. After massive pressure from pro-lifers, he changed course and a day later announced he would be voting against it:

At The Bridgehead, I review two powerful Holocaust films: The Zone of Interest, on the daily life of the family of Commandant Rudolf Höss in their villa compound within Auschwitz, and The Commandant’s Shadow, a 2024 documentary following the commandant’s son and grandson as they return to Auschwitz and grapple with their family’s Nazi past. The son of the greatest mass murderer in history, it turns out, is now an evangelical pastor at the Bible Church of Stuttgart:
The Zone of Interest: God, Abortion, and Auschwitz
I also have a column on how Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is subverting democracy in order to push abortion on Poland, as well as several other shorter culture pieces.
On The Bridgehead Podcast, I have an interview with Douglas Wilson of Moscow, Idaho. His Christian community is one of several that I profile in the final chapter of my upcoming book How We Got Here: A Guide to Our Anti-Christian Culture, and we discussed what preserving and creating culture looks like in an anti-Christian society as well as how to deal with the threat of antisemitism that is beginning to infect many church communities due to the pernicious influence of online influencers:
